NIGHT SCENE
Dark, gritty, aggressive. The definition of street, the message of someone who knows what he wants, and will stop at nothing to reach it. That's the atmosphere I was going for, the song is filled with harsh words, tight compression and strong auto-tune, to channel in its untamed melodies and wordplay. I needed a cover that further built around this idea, something that screams unrefined and raw but also polished enough to put on social media, shirts, streaming platforms. Taking inspiration from the current trends in fashion
and streetwear, I came up with a segmented, geometrical design with no shortage of variety in shapes. I used two pictures; one of me and one of the feature artist and audio engineer, NAWE. I converted these two pictures to monochrome and applied noise and halftones to amplify the grit and mystery that these pictures already emanate. I then used turquoise, orange and yellow to contrast the monochrome and create an eye-catching album cover. It is also accompanied by a visualiser hand made in After Effects to compliment the aggressive nature of the song.
